Amos 5.21-24
"Remove far away from Me your meaningless, empty religious tradition. Your feasts, your assemblies, they are dead works. Your burnt offerings and grain offerings...they are mere motions and I refuse them without contrite hearts. Take away from Me your man centered worship. In it's place, I want justice flowing from the heart, and true worship pouring from your hearts."

I loathe your gatherings and assemblies in which you say you come in my name, but my name is the farthest thing from your mind. No more will I accept your empty sacrifices and offerings, for your heart is nowhere near where it should be. It is on yourselves. This worship has nothing to do with me. Though the songs you sing say my name, your heart does not. Do not bring this into my presence. In it's place, bring righteousness and justice flowing from your heart like a mighty river that cannot be damned.
